FINDING THE EDGE

In 2008, a group of operations consultants led by Rupert Morrison decided there had to be a better way to solve business problems. One which didn't involve working till 3 in the morning in a nightmare of endless Excel Spreadsheets and frustratingly static PowerPoint slides.

To help businesses gain competitive advantage on an ongoing rather than project-by-project basis they knew bringing together operations knowledge with technology could make problem-solving easier and faster. So they merged with technology firm Concentra to create a new business model. One where industry and domain expertise could be combined with analytics and cutting-edge technology to solve business problems faster and deliver sustainable value for organisations.

    Pros

    Work/Life Balance, vacation time, benefits, a personable CEO who cares about his employees and works incredibly hard to ensure his employees are looked after while maintaining company success

    Cons

    Working as a global company reporting on different continents on a daily basis to complete work functions can be difficult.

    Application

    I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Concentra Analytics (London, England (UK)) in November 2019.

    Interview

    The Intervire process was spread over 3 months. The HR change from an inhouse team to an external team complicated the entire process, additional stages were added unnecessarily and it was long drawn out and frustrating. The whole situation in the end deemed to be unprofessional and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

    Interview Questions

    • What role do you prefer as we have two options, Product manager or Product owner. I gave an honest and open answer as was led to believe that both options were available. The team then turned around and stated the one I chose was unavailable. This was after a whole 3 months and over 4 meetings. Pretty sure the management would have known where I fit!   Answer Question
