  • Concentra has been informed that scammers are using our name to scam individuals who believe they are applying for an opportunity with Concentra or receiving a job offer from Concentra.
These scammers can be very convincing, going so far as to steal the profile pictures from our actual recruiters from their LinkedIn profiles and using email addresses that contain the word ‘Concentra’ such as ‘@ConcentraCareers’ or ‘@ConcentraJobs’ or ‘@Concentracareerdesk.’

The scammers will typically ask you to send money at some point (for equipment, training, or a uniform, etc.). A LEGITIMATE CONCENTRA RECRUITER OR HIRING MANAGER WILL NEVER ASK YOU TO SEND US MONEY. Also, you will never receive a job offer from us if we have not verbally interviewed you.

Concentra – Why Work For Us?

Health at Work

Concentra innovated the occupational medicine industry in 1979.  Today, we're redefining the future of workplace health.  As the nation's #1 workplace health provider, we know how to support the delivery of convenient, high-quality care for employers and their employees.  Every day, we treat thousands of employees at our 500+ medical clinics nationwide, offering everything from immediate care and diagnostics to therapy, preventive care and beyond.  It all adds up to improved care for patients, smarter solutions for employers, and enhanced outcomes for everyone.    That's the Concentra way.  That's health at work.

Stability. Success. Satisfaction.

We want you to the best you can be.

We want you to be the best you can be. It's about more than offering retirement benefits, health insurance, and the other perks you'd expect from a large company (although we think those are pretty cool). It's about community, and a company culture that is focused on your well-being. It's about giving you the resources and flexibility you need to achieve your goals — whatever they may be.

What can we do for you?

Participate in our personal wellness programs and get comprehensive health insurance at highly affordable premiums. Join our healthy incentives programs to lose weight, quit smoking, or run a marathon — and earn luxury items when you meet your goals. Get tuition assistance to train for the career you want tomorrow. Sign up for free health coaching. Train with our team to bike 100 miles in a weekend.

Tell us where you want to go. We'll help you get there.

At Concentra, we refer to each other as “colleagues” because that term recognizes both the individual and collective contributions that help us achieve our mission of improving America’s health, one patient at a time. Together, we work to provide quality patient care in a welcoming, respectful, and skillful community. Our physicians collaborate with our therapists and physician assistants to ensure an immediate and personal exchange of treatment information.

A sense of community.

Our colleagues make us who we are. Together, we create the Concentra family and community. We’re the ones who make sure that everyone from our clients to our patients to our fellow colleagues feel respected and valued. Even though we’re growing every day, we work to maintain that sense of community. Supporting and encouraging our fellow colleagues is still considered one of the most important things we do.

A little book with a big idea.

As a company, we’re focused on providing better care and better service. We’re always looking for ways to provide the best experience for our patients, clients, and colleagues. To help with our goal, we created a little book that guides us day-to-day in delivering welcoming, respectful, and skillful care. The Orange Book is given to all of our colleagues when they first join our team, and many of them carry it with them throughout the day as a reminder that every interaction is an opportunity to provide an exceptional experience for our patients and colleagues.

As one of the largest healthcare companies in the nation, Concentra isn’t just part of the future of American healthcare: we’re creating it. Our career opportunities span 40 states and a variety of specialties, including occupational medicine, urgent care, primary care, physical and occupational therapy, and non-patient facing administrative opportunities.

Our mission.

At Concentra, we’ve made it our mission to improve America’s health, one patient at a time. Our goal is to provide quality patient care while treating everyone—colleagues, patients, and clients—with friendliness, skill, and respect. Together, we work to create the Concentra family and community, and ensure that all members of our team feel respected and valued.

Lead a culture of health.

We’re taking early intervention a step further and making it easier than ever before for workers to get and stay healthy. Our integrated health and wellness centers bring the resources of a medical center directly into the workplace, enabling you to treat patients immediately after injury and to work with them on preventive care. Integrated health means you’ll have the opportunity to deliver primary care, urgent care, and occupational medicine—all with the support of onsite or integrated wellness services, pharmacy services, and physical therapy.

The support you need to succeed, right from the very start.

Starting in a new clinic shouldn’t be harder than it has to be. At Concentra, we support our new clinicians with a structured, comprehensive orientation program that gives you the time you need to get to know your clinic, your colleagues, and Concentra before you get started in full-time patient care. During your orientation, you’ll be partnered with another clinician to get an in-depth look at your clinic’s operations, easing into patient care with your clinician partner at your side. You’ll also receive additional support from your team to make your transition as easy and stress-free as possible.

I have been working at Concentra full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. You get out what you put in. Internal promotions are common in corporate. People stay for their entire careers because there’s a lot of opportunity.

    2. You can easily move between teams. I know people who have started out in customer service and moved to sales, others who started in a clinic and moved to operations, and others who moved from their original team to start their own for a new product or service.

    3. On some teams, it’s a very startup-like environment. What might be a 100-person organization in a company of similar size is 10 or fewer here. It means there’s a lot to do, but also a lot of opportunity to impact things and get great experience, especially for people just entering the workforce. It’s an excellent place to grow.

    4. It’s a small company at heart. Don’t be fooled by the number of employees. The corporate office is small, and everyone knows everyone else. Photos of employees and their families line the walls, and people really do make an effort to be kind and welcoming, especially to new hires.

    5. In corporate, most teams offer flexible schedules and remote work days. Strong family focus. Free perks: onsite gym. Not free, but still perks: onsite dry cleaning, daycare, cafeteria.

    Cons

Healthcare is hard at the corporate level. There’s a huge amount of information to learn, and while you’ll come out with a lot of transferable knowledge, the learning curve can be steep. This isn’t exclusive to Concentra, but just be aware if you’re coming from another industry. Everyone will help you get up to speed, but it does take longer than in less complex industries.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Concentra in September 2017.

    Interview

I applied online and was then contacted by a recruiter for a phone screening. She said she'd pass on my information to the hiring manager who may contact me if he's interested. I was then contacted by the hiring manager a week later to set up an in-person interview for the next day. The interview itself was conducted by the Operations Director and the Center Director.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

They made a good offer which I accepted without negotiating.
