I worked at Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (Less than a year)
I loved interning for CHCI because they allow you to experience some of the activities that their interns from different programs experience. I interned for CHCI in high school and college, and they are always looking for ways to help you grow professionally.
I do not have any cons
I applied through other source. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (Washington, DC).
Two interviews and second one was with all other senior executives and future department staff. This was uncomfortable as questions from senior executives were at high level and future department staff were included in the meeting. Overall there were 8 people in the room.
I took a significant pay cut to take on this challenge due to the mission.
