I worked at Conitex Sonoco full-time (More than 3 years)
Conitex is a very personable company, and from everything I have seen and heard over 3 years, they continue to carry on with that culture. They genuinely care about their employees and their success. Doors are always open, and ears are always open to suggestions, from the owner to floor operators. They understand that the success of the company relies on everyone working together as a team, and it appears they would like to build upon that principle, by encouraging training and education.
Conitex practices in manufacturing seem outdated, however, management is making great strides in reforming their current practices. They are investing heavily to build upon the improvement and sustainability of the company, worldwide.
Advice to Management
Do not lose your core values which helped you get this far with a great team. Continue to invest in your employees.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Conitex Sonoco (Gastonia, NC) in February 2015.
The interview was arranged by a recruiter that I was using. She arranged for the interview and gave me tips on how to do the process. I was told to wear a suit and arrive five minutes prior to the interview. I was also told to bring two copies of my resume and have them in a leather portfolio. After the interview I called the recruiter immediately and discussed it with her. I sent a thank you email to the interviewer via the recruiter. The following week the recruiter informed me that they decided to go with someone they had previously interviewed.
