The CBS Sales Internship Program is designed to prepare students and/or recent college graduates to progress into a full-time Sales role within CBS. Various skills and knowledge needed to do so will be gained by working closely with our local Sales Teams and Managers.

This is a paid internship, and to give you  a real taste of a performance driven role, we’ve put together various bonus opportunities for our sales interns to work towards during and after their internship.

    Application

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Connecticut Business Systems in January 2016.

    Interview

    I was referred to CBS by a friend. I reached out to the recruiter and she returned my call quickly. First was the phone interview with the recruiter. It lasted maybe 10-12mins and was pretty basic. Next I completed the Chally personality test. It was lengthy, but personality test, with most companies are almost standard this day in age. My first in person interview was with the company's director of sales. The next step was a ride along with a sales rep so I could experience what I'd be doing on a day-to-day basis. The third and final interview was with a sales manager and the VP of sales, followed by an interview with the president of the company- which required me to do a PowerPoint presentation on a product or service I currently sold. Honestly I was really prepared so I didn't feel nervous during the interview process.
