I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Consumer Technology Association in October 2014.
From when HR calls to decision, process takes about 2-3 weeks. You meet with HR first, then the department heads. Everyone is friendly, but definitely looking for content/substance. Most of the internships are in PR, communications, and sales. Research internships here are valuable as well because you get to work with industry leaders and interest group lawyers (research and gov affairs). CEO cares about the interns, he started off as one himself. Not many benefits but at least it's paid.
