I worked at Continental Pools full-time (More than a year)
I had a lifeguard job, it was fairly easy. I had a lot of downtime, but that depends on the pool. You get to spend time in the sun. It's easy to get recognized because most lifeguards at the company don't try very hard. The managers are mostly nice and easy to get along with. You can meet a lot of nice patrons if you're friendly.
Often boring. Doesn't pay much. Dealing with patrons who don't listen. You sometimes have to be the bad guy.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Continental Pools.
Quick interview, maybe 20 minutes. Explained the training process and ask me a few basic questions. I was offered the job at the first interview pending my completion of their training class. (Sadly it didn't take a whole lot of effort to pass with my first aid & life guard certification)
If you can swim the job is basically a piece of cake.
