I worked at Convergys part-time (More than a year)
This place was not a bad place to work. It is a great job for college students. The job is simple for the most part. Very friendly staff as well
The job can get boring after some time. My biggest issue was during training we were informed of the project we would be working on for a while to get use to the job and after my first week I was already moved to a new project when I was not ready. The hours are kinda crappy and having to work at least one weekend shift was crappy too. Another thing I did not like was how they wanted to handle some things. The point of this job is to be a third party surveyor for a business, so you conduct interviews about peoples experience with whatever business you are working on, and some of the people you call think you are working for the business when that is not the case and so these clients think you have the power to make changes that you can not, so if Convergys could find another way to avoid people thinking you work for the business, that would be helpful, and my last con I can think of is there really is no advancement opportunities.
Advice to Management
Be more honest about how quickly you move people onto new projects.
I applied online. I interviewed at Convergys.
Standard interview. Called and phone screened and then invited to do a skills test on site with others. The test was not very difficult if you have some basic IT knowledge. The interview was average corporate screening "tell me about a time when..." type questions.
