I worked at Cooper Industries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful company and location to work. Good pay, good benefits, excellent vacation policy. Company passionate about protecting their brand and it shows with every employee. Friendly work environment. You could stay in the same position for long period of times if you want and there may be other positions you would qualify and be able to apply to for promotion within.

    Cons

Some training within specific jobs are inconsistent. Great initial training setup and plain, helpful SOP's are set up but management style of training within the position itself is inconsistent, and at times contradicting the SOP, leading to confused directives and goals.

    Advice to Management

Please start doing exit reviews, even from layed off employees. I feel this could greatly benefit the company and help achieve goals more efficiently.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Cooper Industries (Syracuse, NY) in March 2015.

    Interview

Cross-functional interview process. Interviewed by folks who had intimate knowledge of the role and others who were evaluating the personal attributes of the applicant. I on't have anything else to say to meet the minimum word requirement for this category.
