I worked at Corbis full-time
Some of the best people I have ever worked with, and some very interesting problems to solve. Work/life balance was excellent. Decent salary and benefits.
There were a few exceptions to the rule, but in general, there were problems in upper management from what I heard. I only saw the after effects.
Advice to Management
The stock photography market shrunk, but other companies are still alive and profitable. Why not Corbis? What decisions did you make that caused the company to fail?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Corbis (New York, NY).
The hiring manager was knowledgeable about the role and a good talent scout. Once I had an referral from another member of the company I did not have to jump through any hoops.
