Mission: To help businesses connect, protect and maintain optimal performance and continued operation of mission-critical data and IT infrastructure.
Simple. Honest. Strong.
The core of who we are
CoreSite isn’t just another data center. It’s a mission. We’re committed to connection through the power of community, and our team reflects that vision. A career at CoreSite means helping to leverage the power of technologies that make the world spin.
Big enough to matter. Small enough to grow.
We’re a company big enough to make a difference in the global economy of technology, but small enough that each member of our team can have an impact. We’re not a monolithic collection of silos. We’re a team of people from an assortment of experiences and cultures and skills, united under a common goal: powering a scalable community of costumer connections that matter. To everyone.
Enabling the digital economy
At CoreSite, our vision is to be at the core of IT transformation and propel the growth and performance of digital business. We’ve translated that into our critical mission of accelerating our customers’ growth and performance by delivering network-dense, cloud-enabled data center solutions and premium customer experiences to interconnected customer communities. All of this is supported by our key values: Simple, Honest, Strong. These values drive every interaction we have with each other, our customers, our prospects and our partners. We’re looking for people to join our team that will believe in that same mission, vision and values.
I have been working at CoreSite (More than a year)
-CoreSite and the data center REIT industry have had amazing returns over the past few years.
-CoreSite in runs very lean, less bureaucracy.
-Successful/motivated employees are recognized and fast tracked into management positions or are allowed switch departments into a more desirable role.
-Young and positive company mindset with little micromanagement.
-Benefits are decent
-Pay for non sales related jobs is okay.
-Excellent compensation in sales.
-Office space and location are nice.
-Out of the leading data center REITS, CoreSite is the only one that does not have an international presence. This isn't a terrible con, but something that leaves to be desired for some employees.
-minor office politics, but this is really expected at any corporation.
Advice to Management
-Management runs well overall, not sure why other reviews are so critical. The company experienced excellent growth under Tom Ray.
-There could be more communication between HQ in Denver and the field locations around the country. A lot of us in Denver have no idea what is going on at the sites.
-There could be more diversity in skill sets across the board. Not everyone has to come from the same industry background to be successful.
I applied online. I interviewed at CoreSite (Santa Clara, CA) in January 2017.
Interview on multiple management levels in person or by phone. In person and phone interview was a score card of pre-determined applicant questions. There was no personality in the interview process or function of feeling out the position from a personal perspective.
