I worked at Crayola full-time (More than 5 years)
Great people who have created a great culture. Enjoyable working for a company that is enriching the lives of kids through creativity. Good benefits.
Company seems to always going through management changes and every new executive wants to do things their way. As a result, they can't seem to deliver consistent results. Tends to be the training ground for the next Hallmark executive. Limited career opportunities, they tend to always go to the outside to fill new positions.
Advice to Management
The potential of the brand is enormous. You need to get people in and keep them there, who understand how to unlock the potential and drive innovation.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crayola (Forks Township, PA) in July 2015.
Mostly basic interview questions about my past experiences, what my programming skills were, and discussions about what type of projects I would be interested in working on. Overall a very relaxed and pleasant interview experience.
