    Pros

Creative Labs makes some great products, even though they are no longer really a pioneer in technology they way they used to be. Still, beats building bombs...

    Cons

Management shifts and an org structure where every major decision is made in Singapore makes it difficult to succeed on a regional basis. Have suffered a massive loss of talent through the last decade as their sales have fallen.

    Advice to Management

Don't confuse getting lucky with being clever. They are not the same.

    Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Creative Labs (Milpitas, CA).

    Interview

The interview was a pleasant experience. The person I was interviewing with answer all questions I had. They were helpful in describing what the company did, talked about the department, the expectations of the job. It's common to feel nervous during an interview after a few moments into the interview the person that was interviewing made me feel comfortable. I really feel it's important for all companies when interviewing to take into consideration that the person that is interviewing for the position may feel nervous so starting off the interview with a smile, pleasant manner will help the person on the other end of the table feel less nervous and help with the interview process.
