Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

Advice to ManagementWork on having a clear vision and improve communication across departments.
InterviewThe interviewer began by saying she can't wait for the weekend to begin so she can get out of the office. She then asked if she can shorten the interview because she has something else to do. She was nice and friendly though. A lot of time was spent pressing for a figure of the lowest expected salary. At the end of the interview, she told me to connect with her on Linkedin and repeatedly urged me to send her any questions I had. I connected with her on Linkedin, and she accepted my request but she never even responded to my greetings lol. The second interview was with management and her as well. She joined first and said she's feeling so sleepy so I shouldn't be surprised if I see her fall asleep during the interview. At the end of the interview, it was her turn to speak and she said I'd hear from her by the end of the day. The next week came and I still hadn't heard from her. I greeted her on Linkedin and she saw the messages, but no response.
