Credit Suisse – Why Work For Us?

Our strategy builds on Credit Suisse’s core strengths: its position as a leading global wealth manager, its specialist investment banking capabilities and its strong presence in our home market of Switzerland. We take a balanced approach to capture the wealth management opportunities in emerging markets, the largest of which is in the Asia Pacific region, while also serving key developed markets with an emphasis on Switzerland.

Founded in 1856, we today have a global reach with operations in over 50 countries and 48,200 employees from over 150 different nations. Our broad footprint helps us to generate a geographically balanced stream of revenues and net new assets and allows us to capture growth opportunities around the world.

To stay a leader in our field, Credit Suisse attracts some of the brightest people in the financial world to work together, to listen to each other, and to grow. We not only look for technical and intellectual proficiency, but also for people who contribute to our partnership culture. Our global businesses and international culture provide plenty of opportunities for mobility and career development.

The Credit Suisse culture rewards excellence, entrepreneurialism and teamwork. Our employees work together to stay close to our clients—whether the client is a corporation, an institutional investor or a wealthy individual—first to understand their needs, and then to deliver all of Credit Suisse resources and knowledge to meet those needs.

At Credit Suisse, we act as the client’s proactive, principled partner. We partner with our clients to understand their ambitions, and partner with our colleagues across our business divisions to deliver the right solutions.  We adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior. And we take an entrepreneurial approach that demands creative thinking and asking (and answering) the tough questions.

Throughout your career at Credit Suisse, we stay close to you and help you build a three-part portfolio of career skills, network and experience. You grow your professional skills across functions and divisions, with training provided at every level for every part of the bank. We help you to expand your network from your very first day at Credit Suisse, introducing you to new colleagues who reach across a broad range of interests and backgrounds. Then we help you use your skills and network to gain a wealth of experience both inside and outside your business division, developing your leadership and management abilities by working across the bank.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Credit Suisse (New York, NY).

    Interview

I went through a Super Day interview process where I met five CS professionals (one from HR, and four individuals from the M&A group). The HR interview was behavioral, and the interviews with them M&A professionals were based on testing my knowledge of finance, accounting and math.
