    Recommends

I worked at Crescendo Bioscience full-time

    Pros

One of the best places I have worked for, very professional people, lack of politics, exemplary leadership by CEO and the leadership team. Very approachable.

    Cons

Other than the commute with the Bay Area traffic for folks in the East Bay and South Bay, no other negatives.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Crescendo Bioscience (Burlingame, CA) in February 2017.

    Interview

I had good phone interviews so they asked me to come in for an in person interview with the hiring manager and 2 other people from the other department. I had a good with talk with everyone and they all offered to email them if i have any questions. A week later I emailed the hiring manager for any updates. No response. I emailed the office assistant, she is very nice and professional, she responded to me within a day to tell me she will reach out to the hiring manager.

A couple days later, I emailed her again for an update and she said no response from the hiring manager. I waited for a 2 weeks and emailed the hiring manager, and again no response. I moved on. One month later the hiring manager emailed me and said he hired someone else. That is just very unprofessional. I know it is still a startup and you guys are busy, but it only takes 5 seconds to response to an email. This show how much leadership the manager has, very little to me. Some are put in the manager role, but have little leadership qualities. This is the kind of manager I would work for but never would spend any of my free time with him, like lunch or company outing, etc. Don't settle and check out other good Bio Tech companies in the area.
