Community Programs & Activities:

We take the responsibility of being a member of the global community very seriously, which is why we encourage our employees to support causes that are important to them. Charitable Matching Gift Program

The purpose of this Program is to encourage eligible participants to financially support organizations of their choice and to ensure that employees have a voice in where the Company makes financial donations. We match a percentage of their contributions.

Two-Way Street Program

Provides donations to charitable organizations where employees donate their “energy” and “hours”. Many employees walk for various charities, volunteer at soup kitchens, or teach adults at literacy programs. The common element: Employees spend physical energy helping others.

C&F will make a charitable donation to a qualified 501(c)(3) organization. We call it “Two-Way Street” because the more hours you put in, the more C&F will donate.

Health & Wellness Vitality Now Program:

Crum & Forster’s Vitality Now program promotes a culture that allows individuals to perform at their best, both at work and at home.  We are proud to provide employees resources and opportunities to improve in six areas of well-being: physical, nutrition, career, financial, community and environment.     I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Crum & Forster (Hartford, CT) in March 2017.


    Received a phone call to schedule an in person interview then a second interview is required with the manager/Boss of that office. After the in person interview I was informed that Boss was out of town and he returned the following week for second interviews. When I followed up I was told it would be another week. It was two weeks from my initial interview and another phone call that I was asked for a second interview. Not even 24 hours after being asked to schedule a second I was called and told someone else was chosen. The process was unorganized and extremely unprofessional. This is a branch of the company so I hope the other offices do not lead on their other candidates to only abruptly tell them someone else was chosen.
