I worked at Crumbs Bake Shop part-time (More than a year)
I worked at Crumbs for just over a year; from opening day at my local mall to the day Crumbs announced bankruptcy. Overall it was a pretty fun learning experience for a high school student saving up for college. It's a unique type of retail job that isn't too strenuous but a good start for anyone looking to go into culinary. My managers were understanding of my school/personal life and schedule so it was managable. Plus you get to try all the cupcakes.
Retail position isn't as hands-on as you would expect if you're looking to go into culinary.
I applied online. I interviewed at Crumbs Bake Shop.
General Interview questions, very conversational and easy. Took perhaps a week maybe two before they reached out to me for an interview, I spoke to the store manager as well as did a mini discussion with the team leader that was present. So it was very easy, and I was offered the position on the spot.
