I have been working at Cumulus Networks full-time
I'm going to say that to date, this is probably the best job I've ever had. I've been fortunate to work at at least three other places that received 'Best Employer' awards, and some of them had me scratching my head, to be honest. So it wasn't the primary influencing factor for me joining Cumulus. Instead, I was drawn by the respectful and inclusive environment, the disruptive Linux technologies we leverage, and the atmosphere. I'm pleased to say that this is a workplace where the workplace accolades and Glassdoor shoutouts do live up to the hype. We work hard together, we have fun together. We're encouraged to trade ideas with the executive suite and feel heard. People are collaborative, passionate, and mission based. Its a great place to work.
The only con I can think of is that with such a great product and such a fantastic work atmosphere, we are GROWING WILDLY and may soon outpace the size of our current Cary office which I love, and would miss. But it is the good kind of growing pains.
Advice to Management
Don't change a thing. Keep being open, transparent, and communicative - it means that your staff can have faith in you.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cumulus Networks (New York, NY) in November 2016.
Very thorough. All levels of management were very transparent and shared the great stories as well as challenges. I was impressed with the passion everyone had for the vision of Cumulus Networks.
