I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Cytracom (United States)

    Interview

The interview process was very smooth overall. My position was newly created by the company and I was very impressed with how well defined it was. There were clear responsibilities presented as well as open mindedness about what the role could expand to (future potential grown opportunity).
There was an initial phone screening and then a more detailed interview about the role. I was then asked to come into the office and meet with the hiring manager and the recruiter. What I loved about this process is we did a step by step walk thru of my resume. We talked about previous roles and how it could translate into what I was being interviewed for. It wasn't just a black and white question followed by an answer. It was an open discussion and not a 1 sided interrogation.
At a later date I was then extended an offer. The company didn't extend it right away which wasn't alarming to me but showed me that they weren't jumping on the first candidate but looking for the right person to fill the role. When the recruiter reached out with the verbal offer I was not sold on the compensation. I was impressed that right away the recruiter noticed my underwhelming emotion and kept the conversation positive. In less than an hour, (clearly after business hours) I received a personal phone call from the hiring manager and we cut to the chase on my expectations. Again, there was an open conversation. It was at that point that I could tell that I was going to enjoy working with the hiring manager and really appreciated the personal touch. The hiring manager called back later that evening with a revised offer that I ultimately accepted. It was overall a great experience and I am stoked to continue to hit the ground running, under-covering actionable insights to drive business.!
