The mission of the D. R. Horton Internship Program is to provide leadership and hands on experience in the residential construction industry to students in preparation for acquiring entry level positions, following graduation. Through mentoring, students will be exposed to various areas of the residential homebuilding process with the expectation that at completion the student will be aware of the work ethic and expections that are required within the industry.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University and seeking a degree
in a related field.

• Languages: English is mandatory. Bilingual is a plus.
• Able to interact with different levels of management.

Team work! Upper Management listens to everyone. No matter what position you are in you are made to feel like part of the family. I have NEVER worked with a Company that doesn't treat you like a number. Here they know your name. Will reach out and help each other. The management in ST Johns (N.FL) Are great.
I can't think of any. As a Company that builds Homes in this State. We do and are the best.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a week. I interviewed at D.R. Horton (Las Vegas, NV) in March 2010.
I was referred to this position by the business relationship I had with my previous employer (they were my client). It was a casual and comfortable. I already knew the managers from working with them on projects for at least a year so that really helped with them knowing what type of employee I was and if I would fit into the position or not.
I told them what I would like to be paid and they said they could do that.
