I have been working at DAI full-time (More than 3 years)
Pros
I've worked at a few international development companies, and this one is by far the best run. They invest in employees, in building a company that excels, and in ensuring the highest quality work. Mission-driven and business savvy at the same time. Great colleagues and opportunities. Great transparency from senior leadership.
Cons
Benefits are ok - not stellar - but getting better. Highly collaborative culture means decisions take a long time and get constantly re-examined and re-litigated. Could use a bit more hierarchy, but nothing that's a dealbreaker.
Advice to Management
Keep valuing employees and looking toward the future!

Application
I applied online. I interviewed at DAI (Bethesda, MD) in April 2017.
Interview
About 3 weeks after I applied I had a 30 minute phone Interview. They primarily asked about my previous experience in communications work, asking specific questions based on my resume. They also asked why I wanted to work for this specific project. Within a few days I was contacted to schedule an in-person interview and writing test. I went to the office and they asked more questions about my previous experiences. Then, the writing test was to synthesize and USAID report.
