    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DC Office of Planning in March 2008.

    Interview

The hiring and interview process were relatively easy. There was a career fair. I attended and met with three people. We were all in one large room and other interviews were happening at the same time. I had never experienced that before, but it was ok. The interview was very conversational, they asked general interview type questions. They emailed me later that day to tell me that I was a candidate. They checked my references and within a couple weeks I had my official offer.

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I negotiated, but the increase was paltry. I would advise the applicant to ask for what they are worth, If they wont pay, look elsewhere.
