Truly a family oriented atmosphere. Business casual dress (jeans) allowed in the office. 37.5 hour work weeks in the non busy seasons. Best work-life balance I've had in my career. Growth opportunities are available if you seek the opportunities and take them. You get out of the job what you put in, which can be very rewarding.
Expectations differ within different staff levels, as a result, titles may not reflect an individuals proficiency. Weaker technical abilities compared to other firms due to a lack of interest in learning new processes and/or having no interest in changing from the way things have been done for years (or even decades).
Advice to Management
Continue to listen to employees and take suggestions. Even if a change seems difficult or impractical, you must think not only of what's best currently, but what's best for the firms future. Technology is advancing and you should take advantage of it to provide the best service possible to clients and increase the proficiencies of the employees.
