I have been working at DRS Technologies full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great People centered company. Opportunity for advancement within contracts. I have worked for them for 12 years and deployed with them three times. Without exception I received fair compensation and excellent employee/employer support

    Cons

Not really a con but there is a Lot of compliance, diversity and ethics training that has to be completed on a regular and seemingly endless cycle. But this is common with all companies now especially government contractors. I really have nothing to say regarding the "Cons" about working for DRS. They are a good, solid and very supportive company. I am only leaving because I am retiring and seeking part time work closer to home.

    Advice to Management

Never lose your empathy towards your employees. It is crucial for DRS' continued success. Make more on site visits so upper management is better known to employees

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at DRS Technologies (San Diego, CA) in May 2017.

    Interview

The Program Manager was very positive and understanding. He was very knowledgeable about the job and knew how to apply my previous military experience to the job description. Very professional.
