DSC Logistics – Why Work For Us?

When Dry Storage Corporation first opened its doors in 1960, how did we help customers? We provided space to store their products and a promise to handle their products as if they were our own. Through the years, we added customers, locations, capabilities, knowledge, and experience – until today, we are so much more than space. So much more than transportation…and value-added services…and process management…and start-up expertise…and network analysis and design…or any of the single elements involved in a successful supply chain.

At DSC, we believe it's the combination of strategic knowledge and operations excellence that makes us a different kind of supply chain partner. It's the ability to collaborate with our customers on supply chain strategies, systems and solutions that specifically address their needs. And the ability to re-think, re-design, and adapt those strategies, systems, and solutions when needs and conditions change.

When we welcomed the new millennium in 2000, we promised that DSC would be "ready-for-anything!" Little did we know the dramatic events and circumstances that would rock the world and the business environment. But what we've discovered is that strong partnerships are the key to survival and success through both good times and bad. At DSC, we're proud of our 50 years in the business, but we're focused on the future. We will keep expanding and improving our partnerships. We will continue to apply Our Strengths – leadership, collaboration, information, execution, flexibility, and integrity – for the benefit of our customer partners. And we will continue to be "ready for anything!"

At DSC, we follow our Mission, have confidence in our Vision, live our Values and make good on Our Promise to Customers – everyday. Developed over many years, these tenets on which we base our company motivate and inspire us; they enable us to help our customers achieve their business goals. We are guided by these ideals, and our commitment to them, making us steadfast through change and ready for anything!

Health care

DSC applies supply chain leadership, strategic industry knowledge and operational skills to challenges of medical device and pharmaceutical partners

In today's health care marketplace, medical device and pharmaceutical companies face unprecedented industry changes: intense competition, price/margin pressure, tougher regulatory enforcement, and the unpredictability of health care reform. Many of these companies are exploring ways to restructure, streamline, consolidate and redesign core functions to maintain their competitive edge.

The supply chain presents significant opportunities for reducing costs while enabling growth and building a strong brand.

Services

At DSC, while each of our supply chain management services provides value to our customers, the greatest value comes from working as a collaborative supply chain partner across multiple services and geographies to address changing circumstances and achieve business goals.

Lead Logistics Partner (LLP)

As a strategic supply chain partner, fulfilling the role of Lead Logistics Partner (LLP), DSC manages the entire supply chain, from manufacturer to retail distribution channels – and, in some cases, even extending back to raw materials. DSC collaborates with the customer on a customized solution, including designing and adapting the network and, when appropriate, managing other 3PLs. This type of partnership is particularly effective for customers who want maximum efficiency and flexibility from their supply chain – and who want a partner, rather than merely a provider.

Information Technology

The effective use of technology automates and integrates supply chain business processes, electronically captures and delivers all related data to DSC’s customers, partners, employees and management in the format, frequency and detail level needed to optimize the supply chain.

Specialized Capabilities

With our leadership, knowledge and experience, combined with forward-thinking engineering and modeling, we have created knowledge capital across many problems faced by our customers. Several of the resulting processes and capabilities are worth noting.

  • Network Modeling and Design
  • Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ)
  • Supplier Diversity
  • Wal-Mart Remix
  • Medical/Healthcare

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DSC Logistics (Colonial Heights, VA) in November 2016.

    Interview

Very quick and informal. When interviewing remember to think of something simple and expand on it. Most applicants tend to want to make themselves better than they are. They want to know what the situation was and how you handled it
