I have been working at Daily Mail and General Trust full-time (More than a year)
DMGT is a really interesting business - having both the media side to the organization as well as the portfolio of B2B information services/SaaS based companies. The company has the "entrepreneur at heart mentality" - focused on helping their businesses grow and align operationally. Overall, it's an exciting time to be at DMGT - a new CEO and direction - focused on growth, supporting the businesses and driving value. Lots going on and excited to see the future growth of the company.
Lots of change - good change but lots of balls in the air and moving parts. Things are starting to align which is great. More communication from the business would be ideal.
Advice to Management
Keep focused on the people/talent
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Daily Mail and General Trust (New York, NY) in February 2015.
I sat in a conference room with the Photo Director and discussed my goals and what the job was a bout. The daily activities. After the "interview" i was given a photoshop skills test to do at home and began work the next week. The test was a series of composites as would be done for the Daily Mail website. Very simple, adding images together in a certain dimension and adding a stroke.
