Daley And Associates was originally created to fill a void in the search and staffing industry. As former executives in one of the world’s largest search and staffing firms, the current Partners of Daley And Associates began to notice that the industry was becoming increasingly transactional, which doesn’t make much sense for an industry that deals solely with people. In 2005 we decided to start a different kind of search and staffing firm - a firm that has big industry knowledge with small company quality; because we believe there is more to staffing than matching a resume to a job order.
During the past 10 years we have been working hands on to build a company that takes the insight we have acquired throughout our careers, and put it towards creating a more involved and relationship oriented approach to staffing. We have worked with local companies, fortune 100 firms, and have mentored many of our candidates from their first entry level job to their first corner office.
Often times the intangibles are the most important aspects of a search; that is why we take the time to meet and get to know all of our clients and candidates. We understand that the key to good business is good listening. We believe that it is crucial to understand the client’s culture, industry, and competitive landscape, as well a candidate’s career objectives, work ethic, and personal goals. With that knowledge, we can represent both parties accurately.
We offer our Executive Search and Contract Staffing services to both clients and candidates, and specialize in the disciplines of Accounting and Finance, Information Technology, Law, and Administration.
Corporate culture is key for any business, especially a search and staffing firm. The skills of our employees and their level of engagement directly impact the results we deliver to our clients and candidates. Daley And Associates has been recognized regionally and nationally for the corporate culture we have created. We believe that low turnover, teamwork, and employee recognition are the lifelines to a successful business.
In the search and staffing industry, turnover is a top culprit for customer dissatisfaction as it creates gaping holes in the lines of communication between us and our clients and candidates. We recognize that one of the most valuable assets of a search and staffing firm is its recruiters, and the networks that they have developed; the more established the network, the better resources we can offer our clients and candidates.
Daley And Associates is not an “everyman for himself” firm. Unlike many of our competitors, Daley and Associates is a flat organization that emphasizes teamwork. All employees, including the partners and President, Mike Daley, work in a bullpen environment with no individual offices. This open environment fosters creativity; we give feedback, share ideas, and are constantly working to drive business and deliver exceptional results to our clients and candidates.
To ensure that our employees are consistently motivated, we like to keep the morale high. We have a ton of great traditions to reward our employees for the hard work they consistently put in, from team building activities at the Boston Winery to annual ugly sweater parties; the Daley team always has something to look forward to. We also value longevity, and in an effort say thank you to our employees we make a point of recognizing them for sticking with us for 5 whole years. We celebrate every employee’s 5 year anniversary with the company by getting the whole Daley team together and presenting them with a gift from our management team.
The nature of our business directly impacts the greater Boston area through the amount of people we put to work, and how those jobs influence the community. To continue our effort to make a positive and lasting impact we throw our support behind organizations with amazing missions, and whose aspirations for the Boston area align with our own.
In 2012 Daley And Associates received the Partnership of the Year Award from the Boston Business Journal for our work with the Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV) in helping youths from adverse home environments. We not only lend monetary support to the camp but also provide mentorship to RBTV alumni and introduce them to educational, athletic and professional opportunities. We also support a variety of organizations such as Catholic Memorial High School, Middlesex Magic Basketball, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the New England Center for Homeless Veterans.
“Daley and Associates does a tremendous job of matching peoples’ strengths to the opportunity at hand. Mike and his team are always very invested and make a point to keep the relationship going over the years. What I like most about Mike and his team is that they look at the longer-term game in terms of finding the right career path, not necessarily just the next job.”
- Joe MacDonald, Controller at Catholic Memorial High School
"The team at Daley and Associates genuinely cares about the people they work with"
- Mike Crotty, Director of Middlesex Magic
“Daley And Associates has placed a significant number of key personnel at our firm. Our position needs have been quite narrow in terms of experience requirements and skill sets but Daley And Associates has consistently introduced us to qualified top talent matching those needs. We have received nothing but timely and diligent service from them.”
- Paul Costantino, Managing Partner at Costantino Richards Rizzo, LLP
“With other staffing firms, you often expect one thing and get something different but when I was working with Daley And Associates, Daniel was very forthcoming. Not only did he not hide anything from me, but he was there for me throughout my entire job search, starting by helping me edit my resume to prepping me for interviews. My recruiter had a genuine care and interest in my success and my career.”
- Zachary Abrams, Senior Associate IT Consulting in Global Markets
I have been working at Daley and Associates full-time (Less than a year)
Great company culture and employees. The management team is extremely helpful and easy to work with. President, Mike Daley is an amazing mentor and career coach. Get to work with some of the best recruiters in the industry.
no cons at this job
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Daley and Associates (Boston, MA) in September 2014.
Came in for interview, talked to manager and CEO, they basically asked simple questions, what's your availability, how can you contribute to the dynamic here, do you work well in a team environment. They walked through my resume and such.
