I have been working at Danfoss International full-time (More than 8 years)
I work in the Ames location. The work atmosphere here is the best I have experienced. People care about each other and help each other. The overall engagement and attitude towards coming to work each day are great. There is a very bright future for Danfoss. So many development projects and we perform extremely well compared with our peers in the market.
Get it done already. Empower people to make decisions. We are not agile. We are monolithic. Every project takes way longer than projected and is repeatedly delayed. It took them over a year to complete a "local wage study" to see if we are paying competitive wages. There was a drastic adjustment of renumeration!
Advice to Management
Move some decision making ability down a couple of steps in the chain of command to improve efficiency and speed. Look for areas to implement your DPP program. Be more transparent with decisions and communicate more details.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Danfoss International (Ames, IA) in November 2017.
Very quick. In and out in less than 15 minutes with a person from recruiting. They were holding open interviews so maybe this is why it was so quick. The lady asked very general interview questions.
