Interviewer was late, only asked questions about the company and did little to get to know me. Ratio of about 9:1 detailed questions about Darktrace products vs. any questions about my experience. Luckily, I was warned about this by their other glassdoor reviews so I had actually read up about their products in advance. The interview invitation was given with 48 hours notice and it asked me to refresh my knowledge on networking terminology. I already work in this field but took a day off my current role to be extra prepared. I read up on absolutely everything around data networking, malware, computer architecture. I was asked exactly one question about this - the difference between TCP/IP and UDP. I mean, anyone applying for this role would know that off the bat, it hardly needs the level of preparation that the initial email prescribed. Therefore, I wasted that entire day prepping for what I thought would be a technical interview. Towards the end, I asked broadly about the salary range to which I was told "we don't like to speak about money at this stage". At what stage? The literal job interview? Why should I keep putting effort in if the salary doesn't meet my requirements? I applied for the cybertechnologist route thinking it was a customer-facing but technical role, and was asked more sales questions than tech questions. Bit of advice, if you're from a technical background too, do a lot of research on sales jargon prior to the interview. This was my first choice company but I ended up taking an offer elsewhere and not even waiting for the response from this interview, since it alone told me enough about the company culture.InterviewWhat do you know about Darktrace?
