I have been working at Dataprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    -Great benefits
    -Best talent in the business
    -Engaged management team
    -Growth opportunities

From my first day it was evident that Dataprise is not the average MSP. Great company culture with leadership that listens to employees regardless of their level.

The interview process was tough but after hiring you realize it's tough because they seek only the best. You get the chance to work with and learn from the brightest and the autonomy to make decisions and put your skills to work. Hard work is rewarded with company wide recognition, and unlimited career growth. Add in the impressive benefits and it's a tough combination to beat.

    Cons

Yes there are the normal issues with information sharing between departments and sometimes cumbersome procedures but that can be attributed to fast company growth. Management is aware and has made great strides in streamlining processes.

    Advice to Management

Year after year of stellar growth probably means you're doing it right. Keep on the path.

    Multiple Positions Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Rockville, MD

    Negative Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dataprise (Rockville, MD).

    Interview

The interview process started off pretty good, the first hiring manager was straightforward with the fact that he wanted a more senior resource to leverage that would require less training. Then it was purely downhill from there.

I ultimately ended up interviewing for three positions total. The second hiring manager was very sarcastic and downplayed my experience as well as the first role I interviewed for. The third hiring manager noticed I had an ethnic name and asked me where my parents were from, being from the same country. His tone changed completely after I replied and he seemed pretty hostile, which I didn't understand given that I have never even been to that country. He then asked me questions about SD WAN encapsulation and networking, even though it wasn't really relevant to the role I interviewed for. He was very dismissive.

I would caution anyone that there seems to be a three strike policy, and while the sweet recruitment specialists may like you and try to do their very best to find you a place in the company, the hiring managers are difficult gatekeepers to please and you're likely better off with a slower approach if this is a company you'd like to work for. I see open positions that I have very been extremely successful in now have opened up, but they do not reply with any of the same attention they had previoiusly.

Seems like a good place once you get it, but be careful you don't let them set you up to fail three interviews and go onto their black list.
