    Positive Outlook

I worked at Davis County Hospital as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great IT Director to work with, learned a good bit from an experienced leader. Enjoyed the overall campus. Small and friendly place to work with.

    Cons

I didn't care for the weather, it snowed way too much. Nearest Wal-Mart was 25 miles away. Other than that, it was worth the trip. Wish the contract was a little longer but happy to have the time carved out to serve while they reorganized the department.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, lot of potential there and plenty of areas to improve on.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Davis County Hospital (Bloomfield, IA) in January 2014.

    Interview

Interview was with hiring manager and recruiter over the phone. We quickly learned that both of us shared the same values. They were using the same vendor and equipment that I had experience managing and enjoyed working with. I felt confident and answered all of the key questions without much worry. Easiest interview I think ever done.

    Interview Questions

    • Can you manage Active Directory and managing Cisco firewalls / switches?
Are odd hours or after hour work a problem?
Can you handle pressure and do you mind or ever had issues training end-users?
Have you worked in the Remote Hosted server environment?
What other vendor software have you worked with in the past?
Are you OK working remotely with long travel home every other week?   1 Answer
