I worked at Dawnbreaker as an intern (Less than a year)
-Interesting Company Focus
-Projects require Software Expertise
-Benefits are Good, Raises do happen
-Overall they have a small company feel
-Hours are flexible
-That same small company feel may also be considered a con to some people
-Software development may feel like a support type role, as it's not the focus of the company
Advice to Management
Structure the software projects and have clear goals. Also, get a second opinion on any major changes requested and take more feedback from software teams.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Dawnbreaker (Rochester, NY) in April 2014.
The interview for this position will cover basic software engineering concepts, database concepts, and web design concepts. Also, there are general interview questions about work history, qualifications, and how you interact with others. Overall a reasonable interview, not too stressful, make sure you have projects to talk about. I was interviewed by 2 employees from the team and 1 HR employee in a 30 minute interview.
