Daxko was established in 1998 in Birmingham, AL. In addition to our HQ in Birmingham, we also have an offices in Houston, Denver, Chicago, Kansas City, and Sunrise Beach, MO.
We deliver comprehensive technology solutions and experienced services to all kinds of member-based health and wellness centers. Our customers rely on us to be the engine of their growth with deep insight, guidance, technology solutions, and exceptional experiences that make us the industry's recognized #1 software provider. We are deeply motivated to make a difference in the lives of our customers and those they serve.
Our workplace, with a culture of collaboration, action, and entrepreneurship, has a well-deserved reputation of providing “career defining” opportunities for team members willing to pursue them.
We define integrity as doing the right thing when nobody is looking. At Daxko we treat our customers, partners, and fellow team members with fairness, honesty, and respect. Without integrity, our best efforts will fail, no matter how good our software and services are.
Sense of ownership is the deep resolve to do what needs to get done. We stay focused on our goals and have a high degree of accountability in the commitments we make.
Effective teams beat individuals every time. Our success is not dependent on the heroics of a few individuals. It is dependent on team members working together towards a common goal, accomplishing things they couldn’t do on their own.
Fun is that extra, intangible dimension that helps us enjoy our jobs and makes us enjoyable to work with.It helps us keep our jobs in perspective, egos in check, and allows us to be better, creative problem solvers for our clients, every day.

Considering a move to a new city can be daunting, particularly if you have a spouse or family to consider as well. To help ease the decision-making process, we’ve put together a few resources we hope will be helpful in researching options and imagining what life could be like in the Magic City or in Houston.
Birmingham, Alabama is experiencing a renaissance from craft brews, to James Beard award-winning chefs, Birmingham has a lot to offer with a great cost of living. Birmingham tops Forbes magazine’s 2015 list of most affordable cities. We’ve sourced a few blog posts that may be helpful in getting a feel for the kinds of events and special places you can find in and around Birmingham:
Houston, Texas is closely linked with the Space Center Houston, the coastal visitor center at NASA’s astronaut training and flight control complex, but that's not the only thing to love about H-Town. The city’s Downtown area includes the Theater District, home to the renowned Houston Grand Opera, and the Historic District, with 19th-century architecture and upscale restaurants.
I have been working at Daxko full-time
We have a well educated, experienced and intelligent CEO that embodies the epitome of what it means to have a clear vision for success in the long term for our company. He has stated his expectations and been transparent about them. It also does not hurt that we are representing some of the best technology in this industry. Our CEO is doing what should have been done a long time ago, which is remove the politics and begin to weed out the people who have been nearly tenured here due to special relationships within the company, but do not bring any real value. He is changing Daxko to a work focused environment versus just being a playground, and letting people who are not performing well, but are team leads that spend more time with their pets than working have the highest job security (director of marketing for non profit).
In regards to the more insignificant pros, free Friday meals definitely does not hurt.
The pace is definitely fast here, and change has been frequent, so be prepared for surprises to come up when you least expect them. An acquisition could occur..etc.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work. Embrace the new changes. We have a great new leader that will take us to the level of success we have been looking for.
I applied online. I interviewed at Daxko (Birmingham, AL) in May 2017.
I started off with a Video Interview as well as a personality and cognitive aptitude test. These were great because they could be completed on my own time. I felt like I could show more of my personality through this format than the traditional first round phone interview.
I was then brought in for a one on one interview with a Team Lead, which lasted about an hour and a half. The interview was very relaxed, but also gave me great insight into the position and allowed me to give much further detail regarding my experience.
Next, I was brought in for a peer interview. Essentially, I was given a scenario with some basic background information and instructions letting me know that I would be presenting on how I would approach the situation. I was given plenty of time to prepare for this beforehand and really enjoyed the process. I presented to 6 different team leads and transitioned to the peer interview portion immediately after. This process lasted about an hour and a half. It was awesome to hear different perspectives on the company and have the opportunity to answer questions from different teams within the company.
Lastly, I had a follow up phone call with a Team Lead which was primarily focused on giving me an opportunity to address concerns that they had with my experience and qualifications. How cool is this?! I was given the chance to give further insight into my experience and directly address concerns. This was a first for me. I feel like 9 times out of 10 companies don’t take the time to give you an opportunity to address their concerns.
All in all, the interview process lasted about 2 months.
