    Application

I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at Delmar Gardens (Overland Park, KS) in September 2017.

    Interview

I applied online, followed-up in-person with my Resume, emailed Administrator, who left voicemail message r.e. When I would be available for an interview. Emailed again with my schedule of availability and then set up appointment by phone. All of this after I spoke with Receptionist a couple of times to leave messages.

I was asked to arrive early to complete a paper application that is tied to Delmar Gardens Human Resources Department. It took me about an hour to complete the information.

Interview was positive and interviewer/administrator detailed some of the duties of the job. I asked relevant questions and felt like I would be comfortable in this environment.

My parting words to the administrator were, "I can do this job!"

    Interview Questions

    • They asked me about previous experience, which I will tell you at Glassdoor, is difficult for me to include in my resume when I fill out information grids/boxes and then these are edited. SO that is why I dropped of my resume and even that didn't include ALL the information relevant to Long Term Care because it was too long ago.

I OVERCAME this in the interview and on the form I completed by saying, Just ask me.   1 Answer
    • They asked me how I would handle disputes between residents or rather the interviewer brought up a recent incident and I gave examples of clients that I have work with and personal examples with family members in nursing home care (current and deceased).   1 Answer
