I found out a difficult patient I cared for died. This person told me a week after I met them they wished I die. No, I didn’t abuse this person. I tried everything within my job description and outside to help them. The patient was unhappy with the primary caregivers in their family and I the punching bag.

Any advice for a third trimester woman to get through 8 hr shifts in a nursing facility more comfortably? All the constant bending over and long commute is making it hard to keep working.

I am kind of surprised that I am not able to get a minute clinic or Walmart health sick appointment for today… the first one I got was 15 miles from my house… this is crazy!! Is it due to short staffing or just the season… never had this happen before!!

I had my first emotional reaction to a patient’s condition and the amount of pain they were in the other day and I can’t help but keep thinking about them. They came in for physical therapy due to a total knee replacement and we ended up having to wheel them to the ED because they were not in good condition at all. It was really hard to be honest and I know that it’ll get better with time, but have you all had this experience? What helped you work through the hard moments?
