Dentsu – Why Work For Us?

The Dentsu Group has adopted "Good Innovation." as the slogan that best embodies our corporate philosophy.

By "innovation" we are not talking about just technological innovation. We mean reforming our organization and business model to create new, socially significant value, and drawing on new ideas that give form to our vision of being a business group that can help create a brighter, happier future for society.

We believe this slogan will guide our business in the communications domain and beyond, such as assisting our clients with corporate management issues or challenges in their business operations. We will always look at the situation our clients are facing, identify each core issue, and deliver solutions for them.

To create this kind of innovation we must gather the three sources of our strength which are defined in our corporate philosophy: ideas that reach beyond the imaginable, technology that crosses the bounds of possibilities, and entrepreneurship that surpasses the expected. The Dentsu Group's mission is to bring positive change to society which in turn will lead to increased value for all stakeholders of the Dentsu Group.

In March 2013, Dentsu acquired Aegis Group, headquartered in London. The newly founded subsidiary Dentsu Aegis Network administers the Group's business operations outside of Japan.

Following the incorporation of Aegis, the Dentsu Group will redouble our efforts to carry our work forward throughout a global network that now incorporates over 140 countries and territories around the world, sharing and integrating services to develop and offer innovative services and to create opportunities to propose new initiatives to clients around the globe through the teamwork of a Dentsu-Aegis collaboration. Working together across national boundaries and areas of business, we continue to strive to be the most preferred partner for our clients, wherever in the world they may be.

We will continue to grow as a creative network in which every employee has the opportunity to show leadership and come up with the solution to a problem. Working together under our corporate philosophy of "Good Innovation." the around 47,000 employees of the Dentsu Group, each with their own diverse specializations, will continue to hone their intelligence and creativity, inspiring each other to produce synergistic effects. We will continue to work together to find solutions to the problems facing companies and societies at large.

Corporate Innovation

The three elements of Innovation:

By 'innovation' we are talking about much more than just technological innovation. We mean generating new value for people and society through a wide variety of changes.

Ideas that reach beyond the imaginable.
Technology that crosses the bounds of possibilities.
Entrepreneurship that surpasses the expected.
Three sources of strength,
driving our innovation,
bringing positive change
to people and society.

Corporate Advertisement

Since March 2015, Dentsu has been running a series of corporate advertisements based on the theme of "Good Innovation." The slogan has been used to express the Dentsu Group's corporate philosophy.

Dentsu Corporate Advertisement Series (Good Innovator)

Dentsu's mission is to communicate feelings and ideas. In this series, we focus on the "Good Innovator," who enables ideas to become reality through "Good Innovation." Each individual sphere represents Good Innovation, and when all the spheres are viewed together, one sees a face. Through the artistic medium of a mosaic, we are expressing the idea that it is possible to leave room for a variety of audience interpretations—depending on the viewer—of "the person who wants to communicate."

Eight Business Domains to Support "Good Innovation."

To meet the management and business challenges of its clients, Dentsu identifies—through a variety of communication domains—the core issues faced by each client. We then provide the optimized, integrated solutions required to solve these issues.

Dentsu's staff possess a broad range of professional expertise, experience and ideas. By analyzing each case individually and forming optimal teams, we are able to provide precise, customized services. These capabilities apply not only in Japan, but also in the global marketplace.

I have been working at Dentsu full-time

I have worked for this company a little over 3 years, and I have grown tremendously in this industry. Dentsu Aegis creates a great platform for professional growth, along with a great day to day environment.

I wish that Aegis had more locations across the United States.

I applied online. I interviewed at Dentsu.

Had inverviews with Manager, Regional director, Head of HR and a few executives.

The first inverview was with a manager and it was more like a consulting from him to me what/how I can contribute to the firm based on my resume. 30-40 min.

The second one was with a reginal director and the head of HR together and it was quite a standard interview, I recall. They assessed my English skills first and then asked me a few questions, which are essentially a combination of the standard questions of "describe your self" and "what you want/can to do in the firm". 15-20 min.

The last one was with a bunch of executives together (at least three, I recall). Again, standard questions - "who you are" and "what you can do in the firm". 15-20 min.
