I have been working at Development Counsellors International full-time

DCI is hands down the best company I have ever worked for. Working with places is so much fun and my coworkers are among the hardest working, friendliest and passionate group of people I have ever met.

Even without the perks, this job would be amazing. But with perks like work from home days, summer free fridays, our health and wellness program, DCI pursuits (sushi making class, a cheese and wine class pairing class and will be doing aerial yoga soon), profit sharing and so many other incredible benefits.....I can't imagine any company treating their employees better than DCI does.

At times the workload can be heavy - but that's pretty much standard for any agency. Work life balance is still great compared to any other advertising/pr agency I know of.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. Continuing the head in the "flexibility" direction helps us do our best work.

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Development Counsellors International (New York, NY) in February 2017.

During the interview process with DCI, they really ensure everyone is on the same page by communicating the process clearly to you and keeping you up to date with what the "next steps" involve. Their point of contact (Nancy) was amazing to deal with and was happy to answer any questions I had. While I originally applied for a different position in the company, Nancy really got to know me, my past experience and my goals for the future, resulting in her suggesting a different role in the company that actually suited me better.

While there are multiple stages to their interview process, you get the feeling that they're ensuring you are the right fit for DCI's culture and workload. Each of the interviewers were incredibly friendly and were able to provide insights into how the company operates, as well as what the expectations are on new employee's. While it was probably the more rigorous interview process I have gone through, it was also definitely the clearest and friendliest.
