As the pioneers of face-to-face fundraising, DialogueDirect's fundraisers provide our charity partners with the following services:

  • Engaging with the public in one-on-one, face-to-face conversation in outdoor and door-to-door settings
  • Representing our charity partners with well-informed, passionate dialogue, to inspire donors to join our cause
  • Interacting with donors to build trust in our charity partner's programs, fielding questions, and conveying the details necessary for an informed donation
  • Collecting long-term, monthly donations through our software program, Waysact, designed to provide a fast and secure donation experience for both donors and clients

Everyone starts entry level, promotions based on merit

All of our Team Leaders, Campaign Managers, City Coordinators, our CEO and our Founder; they all launched their fundraising careers as face-to-face canvassers! As you grow us, we will focus on developing your abilities and helping you to meet the challenges of face-to-face fundraising. As your communication skills and confidence grows, if you demonstrate the drive, time management, and aptitude for training that we need, we will give you the resources you need to build a great team.

Leadership development and training new fundraisers

Our leaders focus on team building, first and foremost. Training, motivating and empowering your trainees will ensure your advancement with DialogueDirect. You will have the opportunity to put your stamp on team development by leading morning meetings, setting team goals and pushing your trainees to exceed expectations. Our leaders build these skills daily, and during our bi-annual leadership seminars in our Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City offices.

    I have been working at DialogueDirect full-time (Less than a year)


    The company cares about the well-being of its employees. You get health benefits after 90 days, travel opportunities, and lots of performance-based incentives.


    The job can be physically and emotionally draining, because you spend all day talking to strangers, and you're outdoors every day, rain or shine. That being said, management understands this aspect of the job, and provides a lot of support to help employees manage these situations.

    Advice to Management

    Focus more on developing and retaining new and established leaders, not just new talent.

    The interview process was fairly straightforward. The interviewer asked questions about my personality and fit for the job. After filling out a separate form asking general identification questions, I left and was sent an offer a few days later.
