    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Digital Alchemy in June 2018.

    Interview

I was contacted by Digital Alchemy who liked my profile. They asked I send a resume and several writing samples. After multiple e-mails, they requested I join them for a 2-hour in-person interview at their office.

I completed 2 online tests (logic and personality), took about 1-1.5 hours total.

Then two video/phone interviews with Australia-based staff and an executive, total about 2 hours.

In total 6 hours to complete the last stage of the interview process. This was also the last time I heard from them for the next month, although they said they would get back to me soon (the start date was less than 1 month away.)

Over the next 2-3 weeks, I sent HR 2 more e-mails inquiring about the time frame (as a freelancer, I try hard to honor any old and new commitments to clients.)

Finally, I sent 1 more e-mail HR, this time CC-ing someone else. The CC-d person promised HR would get back to me by EOD.

Two days after this e-mail, I telephoned HR. HR told me the position had changed weeks ago. Someone else had been hired. They had not received or read any of my previous e-mails, which they said was unusual given that we had previously communicated with no issue through e-mail.

They apologized and promised to get to the bottom of why they did not receive my e-mails. I haven't received a reply on this yet.
