    Full Stack Engineer Interview

    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Digital Insight (Redwood City, CA) in June 2015.

    Interview

I met with the Engineering manager first (at my college, actually). Then for the on-site interview, I met with four different people (plus, I had a quick HR meeting at the end).

    Interview Questions

    • Most of the interviews were informational (each about 45 min to 1hr). They seem like good people. They gave me info about the company (and a tour), and I gave info about my background. The last interview was an hour of JavaScript coding problems. Typical interview-type coding problems.   Answer Question

  • At Digital Insight we foster ‪‎innovation‬ - and that doesn't just stop in our four walls. Leading up to our 2015 Innovation Conference, we asked our customers to pitch ideas for an innovative ‪banking‬ solution. Check out our finalists! http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vITUk

Idea Tank | Digital Insight - Innovation Conference 2015

We are a non-profit FI with a strong low to middle class membership in our primary market and high penetration rate in our current market. We are trying to retain membership, attract millennials & new valuable members, and grow in new markets, but our products are similar to our competition and there is no incentive to use sticky product offering, because products in the financial industry are standardized and innovation is ambiguous and expensive.

Banks seek to capitalize on mobile customers

Financial institutions face a dilemma these days when it comes to their mobile banking customers. A recent data point from Digital Insight, an NCR company that provides digital banking products to some 1,000 financial institutions in the U.S., revealed that 31 percent of consumers surveyed log into their bank's remote services exclusively through a smartphone or tablet.
