    Pros

Great people, a fast paced working environment and the opportunity to progress within the business. Responsibility is offered at every position so be prepared to come in, work hard and develop your professional career. Whether on the recruitment side of the business, operations or sales, you will get the chance to work with some major clients delivering on national recruitment campaigns. The team doesn't take themselves too seriously and there are always socials penned in the diary to look forward to.

    Cons

Sometimes the work could bottleneck and put the recruitment team under pressure to deliver. Usually this was addressed by drafting in support from either inside or outside the business. Better resource planning would improve this.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the staff and the feedback they have to offer. The culture will improve further if there is more balance and involvement.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Discovery (Birmingham, England (UK)) in July 2018.

    Interview

I did not have a choice but to go through Discovery, as they were recruiting on behalf of the company I wished to apply for. The process was exhausting and very time and travel consuming.
After completing a CV screening, two phone interviews, an assessment day in Birmingham (with group tasks and 1:1 interview), numerical, verbal reasoning and aptitude tests, as well as submitting a 2 minute video of myself for review, I was put forward for the wrong position despite having told them numerous times which role I was applying for. I had to then re-do part of the application process which I had dedicated a lot of time and effort to. Finally, they informed me 2 days before that I was through to the company's assessment day, where they scheduled me in for a 'pre assessment day prep call,' but I received no call. With such short notice and little advice, I felt under prepared compared to the other candidates.
Not only was my application mishandled, the feedback I was given was extremely brief and also patronising, constantly being reminded of how much better the other candidates were than me, now unsuccessful I have since been ignored.
