I worked at Disney College Program full-time
I participated in the college program at Disneyland. The housing community was wonderful and the program staff was overly helpful. As an employee of Disney you got to go into the parks for free and we even could go to the Walt Disney Studio. The classes were incredibly helpful and the MarketingU class really improve my resume. I have been offered numerous interviews for having Disney on my resume.
Long hours, especially during Holidays. DCP participants get priority over hours and some of the other park employees don't like that and tend to disregard you.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Disney College Program.
Began with a recruiting event at university campus. They took my initial application and then I was set up with a phone interview. Decision was emailed, letting me know which department I would work in (for example Operations, Food & Beverage, Custodial, etc.) but not specifically which role or park. I prepared for the move to Orlando. Upon arrival, they told me specifically which park and role I would have. It took a lot of courage for me to move across the country and take an unknown job, and it ended up being one of the best experiences of my life!
