You have the ability to keep busy and offer suggestions for increased productivity. There are a variety of employees from all walks of life to interact with.
There is a lack of understanding how individual job roles influence the productivity of the whole organization. Undocumented job responsibilities and training and no accountability/disciplinary action. Layoffs are frequent for lower wage staff who are the backbone and results producer; which results in morale instability.
Advice to Management
Learn what lower wage staff do and how to document and support them. Without their careful, precise, error-free work production, there would not be a business. A downward-spiraling domino effect is created when lower wage employees are ignored.
The hiring process was simple. At the time, I was not aware the company planned on closing the facility I in the coming months. I noticed the hiring process was much quicker then a traditional hiring process. The interview questions were like any interview questions; asking about former employment, possible situations, etc.
