Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

The process was very smooth with sufficient level of information ahead of each step
and enough heads up and prep time between each interview.
The interviewers were well prepared and it was obvious that they had read through my profile in detail ahead of the call.

A previous test I had conducted had also been reviewed and I managed to get constructive feedback on the spot.

Clearly there is a focus on getting new recruits in who are in line with the company's values and culture. They were also very accommodating with my specific circumstances for which I am very appreciative.

What are the top three traits of a good product manager?
