I have been working at Dow Corning full-time (More than 10 years)
People are fantastic. Good resources to do science, awesome small town community.
Poor technical leadership. Career advancement requires significant effort by the employee due to manager turn over rate (every year or two).
Advice to Management
Better vision of technical programs including good technical marketing is needed. Also, with the management situation, technical people should be automatically paired with a technical mentor to help them grow and network. Managers do none of this.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Dow Corning (Greensboro, NC).
Good questions were asked that should be included from any employer. They wanted to make sure that they are getting the perfect selection for the position. They also took time to understand and get to know who they were hiring.
