I have been working at Drake International full-time (More than 5 years)
Founder of the company is a brilliant man and has much wisdom to impart about recruiting and business in general. Training is good.
Everyone tells the founder what they think he wants to hear. Noone is really honest with him. The business needs to make more decisions based on long term profitability rather than personalities and office politics. People who are fussy, difficult to work with, and who cause problems are retained, while good people are let go or wisely move on on their own. There is no global vision or cohesion. Time wasting procedures, forms, and policies abound.
Advice to Management
Changes need to be made to streamline and simplify red tape workflows. Drake needs to trim the management fat and put the power to change things in the hands of the people who actually do the work.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Drake International (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in June 2015.
I attended an Open House for the purpose of recruiting new Consultants. Great idea; they went through 40 potential recruiters that day. No cover letter, no BS - face-value evaluation and then CV review. In my opinion, a great way to hire for recruiters. I then had an in-person interview with a divisional manager, completed a P3 personality assessment online, and also had a phone interview with a regional manager.
