I worked at Dreamkind as an intern (Less than a year)
- Excellent place to start and gain experience
- Work pipeline can get disorganized at times.
- At times it felt like company was rolling with the punches rather than having things completely thought out.
Advice to Management
There is a wonderful team, but I think you're missing a game designer.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Dreamkind (Englewood, NJ) in June 2012.
Met with President of Dreamkind, producer and some Director of business or marketing or something. They were all really great: nice, fun, honest. President had a really interesting background and was very smart. Would have been a cool guy to work for, but they decided to go in another direction. They said to stay in touch, which some companies do, but I think they meant it. They followed up with me later just to say again how much they enjoyed meeting me and that it was just an issue of current needs. The producer and business person were really nice. I would have liked to have gotten the job.
