    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Driveline Retail Merchandising (Tampa, FL) in June 2017.

    Interview

I was phone screened with a battery of questions to basically see if I qualify to function in their work atmosphere. I was called back for a face to face with three different levels of management which I prepared for. The process was a tremendous amount of questions not really based on the part time position for which I applied for and felt I was basically applying for CEO..

    Interview Questions

    • Can you work nights, holidays and weekends !?   1 Answer
    • They also asked another question which wasn't disclosed in job description; they stated I would be outdoors 85% of my shift of which I was completely blindsided. I think we both knew at this point I was not their candidate..   1 Answer
    • Interviewer proceeded to ask if I would work at other Car Max locations and I only wanted to commute to closest which was Tampa ..i got the feeling the position required you to jump around all over the district   1 Answer
    • Company repeatedly asked on phone screen, application and face to face if I was a convicted felon and/ or arrests of any nature. Again I felt I was being considered for CEO or COO ..i was applying for a part-time buyer assistant!   1 Answer
