I worked at Dubizzle full-time (More than a year)
Massage chairs, pool table, daily snacks and drinks, good medical insurance including dental, outdoor/indoor activities.
Hiring managers are biased as they do not consider employee potential skills and achievements rather they have their own set of favorites on the team. Some members of the team were subject to special treatment while others were not. If you have been a victim don't expect HR to listen to you. Your voice will not be heard. The attitude you see in a few employees on the Finance team is beyond ridiculous. I did not find a friendly environment there. Many employees have left the company for this reason.
Advice to Management
Management has limited experience. It needs better rules and when rules are in place please adhere to it. Before giving notices, it needs to look further into the matter rather than giving false allegations.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dubizzle in January 2014.
The interview process was a total mess. HR guys were not really professional, the same for engineers, as if they were doing interviews for the first time in their life. Improvisation was all over the place.
The most weird thing happened during this interview (for me this was the first time to be asked such a question), that I was allowed to use internet resources in some questions, but while googling things, the interviewer asked me to have my Webcam open, which made me very nervous, and I found it very weird.
